Meeting the lighting designer

In our lesson today, we had a lighting director come in and speak to us about what the school were supplying for us to use and to look over our ideas to see what equipment will be needed. Below is a list of equipment that he said we will be able to use:

Atomic 3000 DMX : It could be used for strobe lighting, as well as being able to adjust it depending on the brightness that you want. The atomic 3000 is a lot brighter than a normal light bulb.

Basic profile light : 25-50 degree tungsten lights (similar to daylight). It is possible to put gels on them in order to change the colour, also includes shutters so that you can change shapes.

UV Canon : Used for 'Black Light', usually reacts to vibrant whites the most. If the shirt or the piece of clothing doesn't have a string enough white, the colour of it might appear blueish purple.

Thomas 4 CYC : Used for green screens or infinity screens. It evens out the whole screen, so that there are no shadows.

Galaxy LED : Known as being a soft, beauty light that melts at everything that you point it at. Possible to change the colour temperature.

Pixel Line 1044 : Lights which are shorter than a meter and could create a variety of different effects. They are LED and can produce different designs and colours at various speeds.

Wash Lights : Could be used to have the frosted effect around the room and the top hat is used to access light through out the room.

Mac 700 profile : The most versatile light, can make it either soft or harsh.
