SBTRKT - NEW DORP. NEW YORK FT.EZRA KOENIG
THE CONCEPT
The music video would most likely consist from three or four different sets. The whole video would be various crosscuts between people in various colour shades (made through lighting), or an alternative idea was that it could all be in black and white and made in a very modern and urban style. The video would include mostly medium close up or close ups - this will make the video more intimate and it will make the audience focus more on the small elements in different images. In the beginning it would start off with a face and hands clicking or moving around the face. The hands would have gloves of a pastel colour, in order to keep the video only a couple colours. Then it would switch into a close up of a mouth singing the words for around 10 seconds, as it changes into shots of body parts/musical instruments being played. As soon as the shakers come in - there would be a shot for 5 seconds and then close ups of the shakers for a couple of seconds - this would happen around 3-4 times. There would be close ups and medium close ups of people dancing on their own. All of the shots during the video would vary between different people - for example there would be w shot of a girls face and then men's lips singing the lyrics. There would be various instruments that the camera would focus into e.g xylophone, bass guitar, shakers…etc.
The actors in the video would be wearing plain colours and a minimal amount of makeup, which would add to the urban and ‘new generation’ setting.
